Preschool

About

Tower Hill's preschool program offers our youngest learners—age three through kindergarten—a quality education in a warm and supporting environment that is rich with opportunities. The foundation for each child’s future cognitive, physical, social and emotional development is built on a curriculum that is taught with intentionality by caring and nurturing faculty.

Field Day Giving Challenge

As Tower Hill School gears up for its 102nd Annual Field Day, the age-old rivalry between the Green and White teams ignites once more! This cherished tradition, woven into the fabric of the school’s history, sets DeGroat Field ablaze with excitement. Beyond the field, there is a way for you to cheer on your team, support Tower Hill and join the fun!

Whether you’re a devoted Green or White team supporter, your participation is impactful. Cheer on your team by making a gift through www.towerhill.org/fieldday by midnight on Friday, May 24, and help propel your side to victory! You will not only be helping the Green or White but you will also be helping to foster growth and opportunity for Tower Hill students. There are two challenges awaiting you: rallying the most donors and raising the highest dollar amount for your team.

Built on the tenet that young children gain knowledge through their play, our hands-on program emphasizes engaging and thought-provoking activities that allow each child to explore, experiment and discover themselves and the world around them. At Tower Hill, preschoolers engage in…

A dynamic curriculum taught by two full-time degreed teachers allowing for a low student-teacher ratio and the flexibility for individualized attention and instruction, including extra support or additional challenges

A classroom, rich in resources, designed to encourage play as the context for learning with a balance of hands-on, child initiated and adult directed play, guided discovery and sensory experiences

A safe, supportive and interactive environment that fosters a joy and curiosity for learning and promotes the uniqueness and growth of the whole child

Limitless possibilities to expand learning in and beyond the classroom walls including working collaboratively with other grades

Differentiated instruction based on current early education research gathered through various educational articles, best practices and ongoing professional development.

We are reminded through our work with children that learning emerges and builds on a variety of experiences; that learning is actively constructed; and that learning develops within a community.
