Application Materials
All application materials will be on your online checklist once you inquire. Details and directions about how to upload or request these materials will also be on your checklist.
Preschool (Tower Tots-Kindergarten)
- Current and previous year progress reports. If your child is not currently enrolled in a school, these will be waived
- A letter of recommendation from the primary teacher submitted online through the application checklist
- A playgroup with an informal assessment
Lower School (1st- 4th)
- Current and previous year report cards/grades
- A letter of recommendation from the primary teacher submitted online through the application checklist
- A shadow day which will include assessments. Rising 1st graders will partake in a playgroup with an informal assessment
Middle School (5th-8th)
- Current and previous year report cards/grades
- 5th grade- A letter of recommendation from the primary teacher submitted online through the application checklist
- 6th-8th grades- Three letters of recommendation from Math teacher, English teacher, and Principal or Counselor submitted online through the application checklist
- 5th grade: ISEE testing (see below)
- 6th-12th grade: ISEE or SSAT testing (see below)
- An interview that will be conducted during the shadow day
Upper School (9th-12th)
- Current and previous year report cards/grades
- Three letters of recommendation from Math teacher, English teacher, and Principal or Counselor submitted online through the application checklist
- ISEE or SSAT testing (see below)
- An interview that will be conducted during the shadow day

SSAT (School code 7690)For families applying to Middle School and Upper School, in addition to the in-person paper-based testing options, ISEE and SSAT have developed testing at-home options to help accommodate students and schools in response to COVID-19. Tower Hill accepts the results of both testing at-home options.

9th - 12th Grade: ISEE

(If a student has taken the ISEE, SSAT, or the ERB's within
the last two years, it is not required to take the test again)
