PRESCHOOL

  • Age 3 by September 1
  • One class with 10-12 students and two lead teachers
  • School day is 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (5 half-day program); 8 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. (5 full-day program)
  • Core curriculum – Literacy*, Mathematics*, Science, Social Studies. Character Education is integrated into the core curriculum
  • Specialized instruction - Physical Education, Music, Spanish, Library, Technology, Exploration.
  • Optional After School Program until 6 p.m.
  • Optional Enrichment Programs are scheduled after school and are open to all students
  • Age 4 by September 1
  • Two classes with 13-15 students and two lead teachers in each classroom
  • School day is 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (5 half-day program); 8 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. (5 full-day program)
  • Core curriculum – Literacy*, Mathematics*, Science, Social Studies, Art. Character Education is integrated into the core curriculum
  • Specialized instruction - Physical Education, Music, Spanish, Library, Technology, Cooking
  • Optional After School Program until 6 p.m.

  • Age 5 by September 1
  • Three classes with 15-17 students and two lead teachers in each classroom
  • School day is 8 a.m. - 2:40 p.m.
  • Core curriculum – Literacy*, Mathematics*, Science, Social Studies, Art. Character Education is integrated into the core curriculum
  • Specialized instruction - Physical Education, Music, Spanish, Drama, Muscle Movement, Library, Technology, Cooking, Listening to Literature
  • Optional After School Program until 6 p.m.
  • Optional Enrichment Programs are scheduled after school and are open to all students
* In addition to being covered in the classroom, these core curriculum subjects have added enrichment provided by a specialist teacher.
  • Grades 1 - 4
  • Three sections of 16-18 students, each with one lead teacher
  • School day is 8 a.m. - 2:40 p.m.
  • Core Curriculum – Reading*, Language Arts, Mathematics*, Social Studies. Character Education and Service Learning are integrated into the core curriculum
  • Specialized instruction - Science, Spanish, Visual Arts, Music, Technology, Library, Physical Education, Woodworking (Grade 3), Writer's Workshop, Chorus (Grades 3, 4), Band (optional for Grade 4)
  • Optional After School Program until 6 p.m.
  • Optional Enrichment Programs are scheduled after school and are open to all students

MIDDLE SCHOOL
  • Grades 5 – 8; average class size of 16-19
  • School day is 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.; 8:40 a.m. start on Thursdays; Grades 7 - 8 athletics until approximately 3:30 p.m.
  • Schedule – 6-day cycle with rotating times for classes and extended periods for labs and innovative learning experiences
  • Curriculum - English, Reading, Mathematics, History, Science, Language (Latin, French Or Spanish) Music, Art, Library, Computer And Physical Education. Drama, character education and service learning is incorporated into the academic curriculum
  • Full advisory program with weekly internal reporting system
  • Interscholastic sports for Grades 7 – 8
  • Optional After School Program until 6 p.m. for Grades 5-6
  • Optional Enrichment Programs after school open to all students in Grades 5-6


UPPER SCHOOL

  • Grades 9 – 12; class size ranges from 4 - 18
  • School day is 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. 8:40 a.m. start on Thursdays; athletics begin at 3:30 p.m.
  • Schedule – 6-day cycle with rotating times for classes and extended periods for labs and innovative learning experiences
  • Advanced Courses offer preparation for AP exams in Biology, Calculus (AB, BC), Chemistry, French, History (European, United  States), Latin (Literature, Vergil), Music Theory, Physics, And Spanish
  • Student advisory system in addition to an extensive club and activity program
  • Required interscholastic and/or intramural athletic program
