Harry Baetjer, Head of School
The wonderful music performances, the Middle School Fair, Field Day and the Memorial Day weekend are all indications that our year is fast drawing to a close. These last few weeks have brought even more terrific successes for our students of which we can all be proud. However, we also know that there are still some challenges ahead.

Last month I informed you that a hearing on the motion to suppress evidence filed by Dr. Wheeler’s defense attorney was rescheduled to this Friday, May 23. We have been informed by the authorities that the hearing is going forward. Dr. Wheeler will appear in court, and we anticipate that this will generate media coverage about his case. As I previously noted, the court’s ruling on this motion could have a significant impact on the prosecution of Dr. Wheeler. It also is possible that a plea agreement could be reached following the hearing.

Given the importance of the hearing, we will monitor this proceeding closely and will report promptly to you any significant developments.

Sincerely,
Harry Baetjer
Head of School
