Kristin Mumford Appointed Director of Admission

Kristin B. Mumford has been appointed Tower Hill’s next director of admission, effective July 1, 2016. She joins Tower Hill from Archmere Academy, where she has served as director of admissions since 2012.

During her tenure at Archmere, admissions enrollment goals have been exceeded and the school reached maximum enrollment. She has successfully implemented new admissions events and founded student and parent ambassador programs to engage the school community. Her responsibilities include oversight of the financial assistance program, admissions communications and collaboration with school leadership to develop robust recruiting strategies.

“I am honored to be joining Tower Hill,” she said. “I look forward to making strong connections with students, families, faculty and staff and to promoting the mission of the school to the broader community.”

Kristin graduated from Archmere Academy and earned a B.A. in biological sciences from the University of Delaware. She worked in sales in the pharmaceutical industry before returning to Archmere in an admissions role. She played varsity tennis at UD and has coached children at various clubs in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Colleagues have described her as having a natural affinity for students, and her knowledge of the regional K-12 landscape, including elementary and middle feeder schools, inform her broad perspective of current enrollment dynamics.

“Kristin’s experience as a student-athlete in school and college, as well as her experience in the business world and independent school admissions, give her the ability to speak compellingly from a personal vantage point,” Head of School Bessie Speers said. “With the other members of the Admission Office team, she is eager to create new opportunities for families of children of all ages to learn about the many benefits of a Tower Hill education.”
