Upper school Spanish students joined second grade Spanish students to create calaveritas de azúcar (sugar skulls).  Sugar skulls are a traditional folk art from Mexico used to observe El día de los muertos (Day of the Dead). Our students worked side by side to recreate this tradition here at Tower Hill.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray and remember friends and family members who have died.
