3rd Grade Supports Delaware Humane Association with Biscuit Bake

The 3rd grade, along with parent volunteers, came together to make dog biscuits for the Delaware Humane Association on March 6. This community service effort is related to the study of the Great Iditarod Race. Each year, the 3rd grade learns about the Iditarod Dog Sled Race which takes place in Alaska. The students learn that this race has many difficulties but also many rewards. Some of the greatest rewards are having brave and courageous dogs who pull the sleds through extreme wintery conditions. On Friday, March 14, a representative from the Delaware Humane Association will visit and discuss the care of dogs. The biscuits we bake will be given to our guest for the dogs at the DHA.
