Wrestling Team Wins Delaware Wrestling Alliance Team Academic Award

Tower Hill wrestlers were recognized for both their brains and brawn at the Delaware Wrestling Awards Banquet in Dover on April 2. The team received the Delaware Wrestling Alliance Team Academic Award, and six varsity wrestlers were named to the Academic All-State First Team for maintaining GPAs of 3.9 or higher.

“This is a great accomplishment for our team,” Athletic Director Jack Holloway said.

Senior Jim Guan also won an $8,000 John J. Meys Scholarship, one of five such awards given to graduating varsity seniors who demonstrate character, leadership, school and community service, and academic and wrestling achievement.
