Rowers Qualify for National Competition
Two Tower Hill Upper Schoolers have qualified to compete in the US Rowing Youth National Championship Regatta. Senior Maddie Cann placed in the top three at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship in a photo finish last weekend with her team from the Wilmington Youth Rowing Association. Maddie has signed to row at Boston College this fall.
Junior Matthew Stack (above, far left) competed as a lightweight men’s double scull crew with the Newport Rowing Club with a teammate from Kennett High School, placing third. Both Maddie and Matthew will race in Sarasota in June. Good luck!
