Samantha DuPree Receives Award for Drone Project

Over the summer Samantha DuPree attended Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering (FAME), a STEM program held at A.I. DuPont High School for 6 weeks. For her final project, Samantha created blueprints on how to reengineer a drone, which she is currently working on this fall. As a result of this accomplishment, Samantha received two awards from FAME: the Technology award, due in part to strong foundational studies at Tower Hill, and another award for Most Outstanding Student.

Her mother Belinda, says, “Samantha is truly thankful for being ‘of Wilmington and of the World.’ The teachers at Tower Hill have challenged her to be the best always. Without a doubt, we are very thankful for her first-class educational experiences and the many accomplishments to come!”

Great work, Samantha!
