Tower Hill Wins 10th Consecutive Sportsmanship Award

With preseason sports practices underway, Tower Hill athletes and their parents gathered on Aug. 25 for the annual Fall Sportsmanship Rally/Parents’ Night. Head of School Bessie Speers and Sportsmanship Committee Chair Kathy Franklin accepted the 2015 DIAA Sportsmanship Award banner from DIAA board chair Terre Taylor. This is the tenth consecutive year that Tower Hill received the recognition, highlighting an ongoing commitment to not only athletic excellence but also sportsmanship and teamwork.

The Green and White Club hosted a cookout for approximately 250, with parents selling fan gear and club memberships. Prior to the rally, coaches met with parents and talked to them about the upcoming season and the expectations that go along with having their sons and daughters involved in Tower Hill athletics.
