We welcome all alumni, students, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, trustees and friends — past and present — to celebrate our extraordinary school together. The Centennial Convocation and Gala will be the weekend's signature highlights, and there are many fun and festive activities planned for the entire family.

  • Centennial Gala

    This festive, fun celebration for the entire Tower Hill community will cap off Centennial Weekend with sparkle. Join parents, alumni, faculty, staff, parents of alumni, trustees and friends on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 6-11 p.m. for a once-in-a-lifetime THS gathering that includes cocktails, dinner, live music by New York City-based Around Town, dancing and fireworks.

    Saturday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m., Centennial Tent
    Join Head of School Bessie Speers, students, faculty, dignitaries and honored guests for the moment when Tower Hill officially turns 100 years old! The pomp and circumstance of an academic procession, student music and Tower Hill memories throughout the decades will unite Hillers of today and yesterday. All are encouraged to attend.

    Salute all former Tower Hill faculty, trustees and board chairs and pick up a copy of the commemorative book 100 Years of Teaching Excellence at Tower Hill School. This reception is open to the entire THS community and also recognizes alumni reunion classes ending in “9” and “4.” Green and white attire is encouraged!
  • Reunion Class Dinners

  • THS Artists and Authors Show

    Opening Reception: Friday, Sept. 20, 7-9 p.m., Founders' Gallery in du Pont Arts Center
    More than 120 Tower Hill alumni, faculty and parents in the arts and letters will display their books and works of art in this one-of-a-kind Multa Bene Facta extravaganza. The Founders’ Gallery will be open all day on Saturday.

    Join Head of School Bessie Speers for a State of the School presentation and for a panel discussion about "Inspiring Creativity and Innovation" with Chris Byrne '74, Chuck Durante '69, former Headmaster Tim Golding, Kate Lemay, Ph.D. '97, Fibbie Schoonover Smith '59, Mary Hobbs Taylor '09 and Genelle Trader '70. The Distinguished Alumni Award and Young Alumni Award will be presented to Alexi Wise '64 and Mona Yezdani Gillen '01, respectively.

  • Parking

    Street parking and access to Tower Hill's parking lots will be limited Centennial Weekend. On Friday evening and Saturday morning, handicap parking will be available at the underpass. Additional parking is available on the University of Delaware’s Wilmington Campus, located opposite Tower Hill directly across Kennett Pike (Route 52), with shuttles to and from the Centennial Tent. The Centennial Gala on Saturday evening will have valet parking.

  • Athletic Hall of Fame

    In honor of Centennial, Tower Hill is establishing an Athletic Hall of Fame to honor those individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the quality and traditions of our athletic program. The Hall of Fame will be launched in 2020, and members of the Tower Hill community are invited to nominate athletes.
