Forum Lectures Series Begins with Documentary Producer Betsy Cox

Tower Hill's Upper School welcomed the first Forum lecturer of the year on Oct. 15, documentary filmmaker Betsy Cox. Ms. Cox shared with students her process for taking a story from its genesis to its finished product, providing examples of key decisions and techniques that go into telling a compelling story. Her talk centered on her documentary Southeast 67, which the Upper School viewed last week. Ms. Cox also spent the day engaging with students in the classroom.
Each year since its inception in 1998, the Forum has brought experts and scholars to Tower Hill to speak to students about themes related to history, citizenship and international affairs. Among the speakers have been George Will, Stephen Ambrose, Gwen Ifill, Elie Wiesel, David Gergen, Joe Biden, Congressman John Lewis and Niall Ferguson. Read more about this year’s Forum as well as past series.
