Squash Team Competes at Nationals

Last weekend, the Tower Hill squash team competed in its first-ever U.S. Squash High School National Team Championship in Connecticut. This tournament featured teams from all over the county in both boys’ and girls’ divisions with a total of 1,800 participants. Led by senior captain Julia Ward, who will play squash for Williams College in the fall, and joined by junior Bo Anderson and freshmen Ben Schiltz, Jennifer Cleary, Aidan Donoho, Sean Beberman, Alex Racape and Sander Saridakis, the young Hiller squad had a lot of great and exciting match play. The Hillers defeated St. Luke’s School in the first round by a score of 4-3 and then lost New Canaan and Brookline. The tournament capped off a great second season of squash for the Hillers.

In addition, Julia Ward was elected to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Association (MASA) All-MASA Sportsmanship Team, and Bo Anderson was elected as showing exemplary sportsmanship by other schools.

Congratulations to all players, and thank you to coaches Ed Chilton and Ray Chan-A-Sue for their support throughout the season.
