Mock Trial Team Competes at State Championship

Tower Hill's Mock Trial team placed an impressive 10th among the 28 high school teams in the state at the annual Mock Trial State Championship on Feb. 23 and 24. This year's criminal case involved art theft, and David Goodman '18 and Destiny Smith '20 earned "Best Witness" gavel awards. The team was coached by John Malik, Chip Sheridan and Joelle Polesky.

 

This year's team consisted primarily of Mock Trial "veterans," and much of the team's preparation involved biweekly practices and scrimmages. The team comprised of attorneys Hita Kambhamettu '18, Michael Malik '18, Celia Habgood '18, Bennett Fort '19 and Sarah Bohenek '19, as well as witnesses David Goodman '18, Alex Laperriere '19, Destiny Smith '20, Grace Diehl '20 and Cassidy Malik '20. The team's seniors — Hita, Michael, Celia and David — wish next year's team the best of luck!
