Seniors Named U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidates

Seniors Rand Barton, David Goodman and Isabelle Pilson are among the 4,000 candidates named in the 2018 U.S. Presidential Scholars program, selected from the 4 million students graduating from U.S. high schools this year. Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, now in its 54th year, is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Candidates are selected on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities. From among the candidates, 800 semifinalists and then up to 161 Presidential Scholars will be chosen. Congratulations to Rand, David and Isabelle on being named candidates!
