Hiller Instinct Robotics Team Wins 1st Place at First-Ever Meet

The new Hiller Instinct robotics team, a participant in the FIRST FTC program, took 1st place at its first-ever meet at Newark High on Saturday, Nov. 10. Congrats to all teammates and coaches!
 
Newark High School hosted a small group of teams from Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in an event that will position teams for bids to the State Championship in January. Each team brought a robot to the field that was ready to be tested. Vincent Cai '21, Stanley Chen '22, Daeja Gonzalez '19, Archit Kambhamettu '21, Gabe Santos '21, Malcolm Thomas '22, Miles Thomas '22, Alexander Williams '22, Jack Yoder '22 and Peter Zhong '19 attended the compeition. Ben du Pont '20, Anand Raju '19 and Sanjay Raju '21 were unable to attend but were equally responsible for the robot the team placed on the field. Upper School physics teacher Jim Haine and parent Dr. Sabrina Thomas are the team's coaches.
