Biology Students Create Vaccine Paper Models
After completing a unit on cells, ninth graders in Penny Rodrick-Williams’ biology class have been learning about the immune system. Students made paper models of the new coronavirus vaccine, which relies on RNA, a type of genetic material similar to DNA. The students were able to model what happens during the vaccination process as well as what happens during subsequent exposure to the virus.
