Celebrating Black Scientists and Inventors

Black scientists and inventors were celebrated at assemblies in all three divisions this week in honor of Black History Month. Automatic elevator doors, the home security systems, the carbon light bulb filament, the three-light traffic light, caller ID, the pacemaker and refrigerated food trucks were just a few of the contributions by Black Americans recognized that have made an impact on our daily lives.
