Students Celebrate Chinese New Year

Students in every division have been celebrating the Chinese New Year and learning about its traditions. Lower Schoolers attended an assembly on Wednesday, Feb. 10; thank you to the Yang and Huang families for putting together this video! Middle and Upper Schoolers attended assemblies on Thursday, Feb. 11. This event featured celebratory videos from our Chinese-American students, traditional Chinese food at lunch and a live stream with current students and their families from China. Seventh graders also learned the traditional Chinese fan dance. Upper Schoolers in Dr. Wei Yang's Mandarin class learned about the Chinese New Year through calligraphy, drum songs and dancing. View more photos here.
