Lower Schoolers Participate in Mexican Holiday Tradition of Las Posadas

As part of the Lower School Passport Program, second grade students will be focusing on the continent of North America throughout the school year. To align with this study, they are learning about Mexico throughout the year in Spanish class. This week, second grade students learned about Las Posadas, a Mexican holiday tradition. To culminate their unit on this festive occasion, each class enacted a Posadas celebration by doing a procession around the entire school, visiting classrooms and singing to them. After their journey around the school, asking to be invited in, each procession ended with a fun celebration! View more photos here.
