Parents

Home and School Association

For decades, the Home and School Association has provided parents with the opportunity to enrich our students' experience at Tower Hill through a wide variety of volunteer efforts. There is something for everyone! Some of our Home and School committees raise money to fund classroom and campus requests. Other committees provide important services, such as leading school tours, supporting arts programs and providing support for our teachers. There are opportunities to work with students, faculty, other parents or the larger community. Parents may work to build awareness, educate parents, raise money, appreciate faculty and staff, provide tours, plan, organize, cook, bake, decorate, shop or sell.

However parents choose to share their time, it is truly valued by students, faculty, staff and fellow volunteers. What they gain in return is priceless: rewarding relationships with other parents and teachers and a more informed perspective on school life.

Parent Committees

This committee works with school librarians to manage a comprehensive book sale for grades pre-K through 8 in November. Volunteers set up, sell books and clean up after the event.

Camp Fair
This committee organizes the community-wide Camp Fair, held annually in February, where visitors learn about camps and summer experiences all over the country. Volunteers plan, advertise and execute the fair.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation
This committee organizes Teacher and Staff Appreciation Day held annually on the first Wednesday of May during National Teacher Appreciation Week, which includes organizing volunteers, soliciting raffle prizes for teachers and staff, and creating a theme and menu for the luncheon. Volunteers plan and execute the event including decorating and serving lunch for the event.
