CDC Doctor Visits Upper School Epidemics Class

On Friday, Dec. 4, Dr. Iman Martin from the CDC visited a combined class of students in the Epidemics in Society elective and U.S. Government and Politics elective. She spoke to the students about the field of epidemiology, what it is like working for the CDC, and anecdotes from her three deployments to Africa for the Ebola outbreak. Students benefitted from this wonderful exchange, not only for her wonderful stories but also in terms of career advice and following a passion. We hope to make this visit an annual part of the curriculum.
