Give the Gift of Learning

Dear Tower Hill Families,

Yesterday, your children started a new tradition at Tower Hill. We gathered in one large, all-school circle up by the tower in Rockford Park for what we hope is the first annual Tower Day — a bit of spring whimsy to welcome spring (finally!) and celebrate a bit of Tower Hill history. The sun shone, and we ate ice cream. What more could one ask for!?

Recently you may have received a message from Annual Fund Chair and Trustee Régis de Ramel about just how close we are to reaching our goal. The Annual Fund helps me keep my promise to our amazing teachers and to you, our parents, as it covers the cost of programs, professional development and other important day-to-day operations. The Annual Fund helps us close the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating each student at Tower Hill. Our faculty reached 100% participation in this year's Annual Fund by November — a tribute to their belief in this wonderful school and community. If you have given already, thank you. If you have not given, please help us achieve 100% parent participation. The parents at my former school achieved 100% participation, and it would mean so much to me and our faculty if you helped achieve this milestone for Tower Hill this year.

This year, we increased our annual fund goal by 23 percent over last year to reach $800,000 by June 15. We have $45,000 left to raise to hit our goal! Our students and teachers accomplish so much, and they deserve our full support to reach new heights. Our faculty members try new courses and teaching approaches; they go above and beyond. We, as parents, can be proud to follow their lead.

Below is a chart showing where each class is in terms of parent participation. I know many of you have already given, but to those of you who have yet to do so, please contribute what you can — every gift will make a difference, no matter how much. The key is participation. We believe in your commitment to Tower Hill, and we thank you for helping us get us to the finish line.

With sincere gratitude,

Elizabeth C. Speers
