Chess Nuts Place 2nd at New Jersey Tournament

Tower Hill students played in the a chess tournament in Princeton, New Jersey, on Oct. 15 and won 2nd place in the K-8 non-rated section: 
Ahana Mitra (2nd Place Plaque)
Braden Hehir (Medal)

Finn Hehir (Medal)

Linc Coleman (Medal)

Tad Coleman (6th Place Plaque). 

 

Rated Novice section:

Nate Spears (2nd Place Plaque)

 

K-1 non rated section: 

Anoma Mitra (6th Place Plaque). 

 

The Chess Nuts played well against some older competition and still won their games. Nationals is seven months away, and if the team keeps playing like this, we may just bring home another National Championship! We have a chess tournament in New York on Nov. 6; wish us luck and please help me congratulate all of the participants on their success.
