I am an Upper School History teacher (Government and Politics, Modern European History and U.S. History).
How long have you been at Tower Hill?
This is my third year.
Briefly describe your own education.
I earned my bachelor's degree in history from Salisbury University with a minor in social science. I earned my master's degree in history from Washington College. I also have 18 graduate credits in educational administration.
Why do you do what you do? What are you passionate about at work?
I think it is important to understand your country and the surrounding world so when you are gone, it is better than when you got here. I hope studying history and political science facilitates this same goal for future generations to pass along. I am passionate about students embracing political and historical content and applying that content and skills to their everyday lives, thoughts and experiences. It is rewarding to see students develop their own passion for the disciplines that I teach.
