Jefferson Award Recognition

Kyle Bosse, January’s Jefferson Award recipient, has spent many hours providing help for low-income families and senior citizens through home repair. Volunteering with other students allowed homeowners to have repairs done free of charge. His youth group was featured in the Town Square Delaware publication, a local news organization that promotes positive new stories. The headline “Good Neighbors benefits from summer camp to help fix homes” says it all. Kyle’s supervisor wrote, “I commend and express my sincere appreciation for your fine contribution to our Summer Youth Work Camp. You listened, learned, related, encouraged and embraced the work of Good Neighbors as we labored to help make four homes warmer, safer, drier and healthier for low-income families. Your personal decision to spend a week giving back to the community is an expression of gratitude and love speaks well of your character and maturity.” In addition to his time with Good Neighbors, he also volunteered for the Newport Rowing Club. Congratulations, Kyle!
