PAATH Celebrates African-American History Month

PAATH (Parents of African-Americans at Tower Hill) is excited to celebrate African-American History Month. If you haven't stopped by the bulletin board display in the main hallway, please do so today! The entire THS community is encouraged to visit and answer the Question of the Week. Answers can be emailed to paath@towerhill.org or placed in the box at the Lower School Family Writing Center. Participants who submit correct responses will be entered in a drawing for a prize. Upper School junior Natalie Hobbs is the winner for the first week's question: Who is credited as the inventor of potato chips and why? Potato chips were popularized after chef George Crum prepared super thin, highly salted potatoes for a customer who repeatedly complained that his fried potatoes were too thick.

PAATH’s mission is to ensure that the richness of the African-American experience is treasured, celebrated and valued as an integral component of the educational traditions of Tower Hill School. Click here and here for local Black History Month Events.
