Music Students Participate in Festival Disney

Just as the Tower Hill Community was gearing up for Spring Break, the Music Department was engaged in Festival Disney performances... and a few beautiful days in the parks. Festival Disney is an adjudication program for school-aged musical ensembles whereby the groups are selected to perform at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, for a panel of nationally-recognized music educators who critique the performing ensembles before engaging the students in a post-performance clinic. Three groups from Tower Hill were selected to perform in adjudication this year: the Concert Choir, Concert Band and for the first time ever, the String Orchestra under the direction of our new strings teacher, Ms. Csilla Lakatos.

The Tower Hill Concert Choir received a "Superior" rating and the title of "Best in Class" among schools of similar enrollment. The Concert Band received a rating of "Excellent", also earning the title of "Best in Class" for their division, and the String Orchestra performed incredibly well, earning an "Excellent" rating. Congratulations are in order to all students for an incredible job in representing Tower Hill in the most positive way imaginable!
