ChessNuts Win Big at Chess Tournament
On Saturday, Nov. 4, Tower Hill students played in the a chess tournament in Princeton, New Jersey, winning first place in two sections. Ahana Mitra '26 came in first place in her section. Finn Hehir '27 and Tad Coleman '27 won plaques, and Braden Hehir '27 won a medal. Luke Iacono '29, Avi Yadav '29 and Vihaan Purohit '29 won first place in the K-1 section. Avi also won first place overall. Selene Iacono '25 played in the K-8 non-rated section, winning a medal and helping the chess masters of Delaware win first place the in that section. The ChessNuts will attend a championship in New Jersey on Nov. 19. Best of luck and congratulations!
