Middle School Math Classes Teach KenKen Puzzles to Lower Schoolers

The Middle School math classes are teaming up with Lower School to bring KenKen puzzles to Tower Hill! KenKen puzzles are a name of arithmetic and logic puzzles created by Japanese math teacher, Tetsuya Miyamoto, who intended the puzzles to be an instruction-free method of training the brain. Middle School math classes are visiting Lower School classes to teach the younger students strategies for solving the puzzles. Last week, the 8th Grade worked with the fourth-grade students while the 6th Grade assisted second-grade students. This week, the 7th Grade taught 3rd Grade and the 5th Grade supported 1st Grade. Click here for more photos.
