Spring and Great Accomplishments

Dear parents,

What a great first week back after spring break! As I witnessed several classes this week, our students have reengaged with ease, keen academic focus and a sincere love for their friends and teachers. They are ready to work hard and achieve wonderful things this spring.

A book I read over the break had a line in it that resonated, as I thought about the privilege we all have of being part of the Tower Hill community: "The magic, the hope, the gorgeous idea of love." We return from spring break rested and ready to embrace the magic, hope and gorgeous idea of love — the love of teaching, learning, coaching, playing, parenting, dancing, singing, writing, reading, laughing, guiding and stretching our students, our children and ourselves.

Spring brings with it hopes for new life, new beginnings, culminations, and moments of sentimental wisdom and wistfulness. As we prepare to celebrate the Class of 2019, we also will celebrate each and every Tower Hill student's growth and accomplishments.

As with any great institution, there are things that will never change and things that are always changing. Tower Hill's commitment to academic excellence within a warm and supportive community and many of our special traditions will never change. With spring, we look forward to traditions: our 100th-Year Field Day, Tower Day, spring concerts, our all-school musical, Evening of the Arts and more.

It is a new season. Tower Hill and our students deserve the very best spring season ever. Thanks in advance for all the ways you as parents embrace "the magic, hope and gorgeous idea of love" of Tower Hill's mission:

Tower Hill School prepares students from diverse backgrounds for full and creative engagement with a dynamic world. Each student is provided with an educational experience that emphasizes the development of an inquisitive, discerning and critical mind; the value of being creative and aesthetically sensitive; the appreciation of physical well being; the ability to collaborate and to function as part of a team; and the growth of character.

Welcome back!

Bessie
