Upper Schoolers Attend Social Justice Assembly

On Wednesday, Jan. 6, Tower Hill hosted Dennis Parker as a guest speaker for Upper School students. Parker, a graduate of the Harvard Law School and Middlebury College, is the Director of the National Center for Law and Economic Justice, a national organization founded in 1965 to fight on behalf of low income and economically disadvantaged people. Students learned about the program’s work to assure access to government programs, provide a safety net in the areas of housing, health care, nutrition and employment, and to challenge discrimination on the basis of race, disability, gender and immigrant status.
