Johns Hopkins Professor Presents at Forum Speaker Series

Martha Jones, Society of Black Alumni Presidential Professor and Professor of History at The Johns Hopkins University, addressed the history of disenfranchisement in the United States in regard to race at the Forum Speaker Series yesterday. Jones is a legal and cultural historian whose work examines how Black Americans have shaped the story of American democracy. She is an OAH Distinguished Lecturer.
 
The theme of this year's Forum is The Voice of the People: The Power of Citizenship and Voting. The Forum was established in 1998 by the Rappolt family.
