Wild Zappers Wow Tower Hill

Tower Hill was invaded, in the best possible way, on Thursday, January 11th, by The Wild Zappers!  This all deaf, all male dance company performed a show “Let’s Sign and Dance,” combining Jazz, Funk, and Hip-Hop, for each of the three divisions of the school in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day.
These artists hail from Washington, DC, have received numerous artistic and humanitarian awards, and have performed at the Kennedy Center, the Apollo Theater in New York, and on national and international tours.

What was truly exciting about these assemblies was the way that the Wild Zappers engaged our community.  As one enthusiastic faculty member remarked “You could actually SEE the bridge being built between the deaf and the hearing worlds!”

The Wild Zappers were brought to Tower Hill by the Home and School Association.  As always, Charley Shafor’s assistance is deeply appreciated.
