Opening Art Show -- Art Department Member George Martz
George Martz, an Upper and Middle School art teacher at Tower Hill since 1983, is gracing the Arts Center Lower Lobby this month with his show entitled "Altered Horizons."
His work, a compellation of oil paintings and beautifully rendered drawings, originated for he most part from inspiration "between his ears." As the name suggests, his paintings illustrate a variety of stunning horizons developed in subdued colors. His landscapes display airy clouds, striking reflections of light, and pastoral scenery. This show provides students with a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the talents of our teachers.
The show will run from Sept. 7 to Sept. 29 in the Pierre S. DuPont Arts Center Lower Gallery. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
