  • Prekindergarten

Our prekindergarten program is built on a foundation that is mindful of developmental levels of four and five year old children. Taking inspiration from the Reggio-Emilia philosophy, learning begins with provocations to glean the interests of the class, as a whole and as individuals. Teachers act as researchers to provide guidance as students explore those interests in ways that are meaningful. These invitations to learning garner curiosity and questioning, urging students to follow through on finding answers to those questions. Academic skills are woven into daily play.

  • Kindergarten

Kindergarten, according to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, is a time for children to expand their love of learning, general knowledge, ability to get along with others and interest in reaching out to the world. Accordingly, the Tower Hill kindergarten program provides challenging and engaging experiences for preschool students, building a strong foundation for future intellectual, physical and social development.

The curriculum is presented through hands-on learning experiences that focus on the strengths, needs and interests of five and six year old students. In addition to in-class core curricular instruction, kindergarten students receive specialized instruction in physical education, music, Spanish, library, drama, science and technology. Also included in a kindergartner’s day are plentiful opportunities for indoor and outdoor play.
