FAQs

  • What makes Tower Hill unique?

Challenging Students to Be Their Best
Tower Hill lives by its motto Multa Bene Facta—Many Things Done Well. Our students, faculty and staff are challenged each day to do many things well; this means bringing the best of ourselves to all that we do. There’s no doubt about it—Tower Hill is a demanding academic experience, and our students strive to do it all while balancing their studies, the arts and community service. Led by a team of dedicated faculty and advisors, Tower Hill students are empowered to take risks in the classroom, on the athletic field and beyond as they aspire towards academic excellence.

    Commitment to Values
Tower Hill has a deep commitment to the values of integrity, respect and responsibility. As such, the school places a strong emphasis on character education, with a particular focus on community engagement. Volunteer service is a central component of the Tower Hill experience; beginning in Lower School, hands-on service projects inspire students to get involved with local organizations and to make an impact that extends well beyond the classroom.

    All Ages Under One Roof
Tower Hill’s close-knit campus community sets us apart from other schools. With students age three through grade 12 beneath the same roof, there are numerous opportunities for Lower, Middle and Upper School students to build unique friendships and to learn from one another; examples might include third graders studying Shakespeare with the Upper School Shakespeare class, a prekindergartner having lunch with their grade 5 reading buddy, or an Upper School advisory group pairing with a kindergarten class for mentoring.
  • What are you looking for in a candidate?

During the admission process, we strive to get an accurate view of our applicants through visits, school records, interviews and/or testing. The goal of the admission committee is to determine if Tower Hill can provide an optimal learning environment for each applicant. For our youngest applicants, we ascertain if the child is developmentally ready for the program.

Tower Hill students display a natural curiosity and a drive to excel—in academics, the arts, athletics and beyond. Our students are caring and collaborative; they are enthusiastic learners, supportive teammates and thoughtful friends.
  • Do you offer scholarships?

Tower Hill's financial assistance program is need-based and offers financial assistance to families who qualify. We also have a  limited number of endowed scholarship funds for new students entering ninth grade, based on academic achievement and a well-rounded background in the arts, athletics, and service. The state athletic agency prohibits us from offering athletic scholarships.
  • Are there openings at various grade levels?

Tower Hill typically has new students enter at most grade levels, with the exception of 12th grade. The majority of our new students enter in the preschool years, Tower Tots, prekindergarten and kindergarten. We also enroll a large number of students entering ninth grade.
  • Where do your graduates go to college?

Our graduates attend a wonderful range of colleges and universities across the United States. The goal of the College Counseling office is to find the best fit for each student academically and socially. Please visit our College Counseling webpage to view the colleges our recent graduates are attending and for additional information on the in-depth services our College Counseling office provides.
