Faculty Portal & Community Group Pages on TowerNet
As you know, when you log in to TowerNet you see the Faculty Portal page with a variety of channels on it. Some of those channels display only the most recent information. For example, the "Downloads" channel displays only the five most recent downloads. To see the rest of the downloads (or the rest of information in any channel), click on "More Downloads," etc.
Where does the information in these channels come from? Some information comes from the general category itself (page content - brown block), while other information is pulled from any group to which you may belong. For instance, if you post links or downloads on your class page, they will also appear on your portal page and will have a blue block indicating the source is Academics. Since every faculty member belongs to the All Faculty community group, any downloads, links, etc. posted there will appear on your Faculty Portal page as well with light green blocks. The same is true for the Lower, Middle, or Upper School groups to which you are automatically subscribed. Also, you may notice that some blocks have arrows in them, indicating that you can edit that item simply by clicking on the arrow.
