Extended Day

Kaleidoscope is our extended day program and is considered part of our Lower and Middle School day program, where there’s time for a snack, homework, activities and relaxation. Students have the opportunity to unwind from their busy day, interact with friends and engage in a variety of activities. Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, Kaleidoscope is $13 per hour/$6.50 per half hour and $25 as a drop-in.

It’s a place where:

Students are in a safe environment with dedicated staff.
Relationships develop at many levels and friendships are fostered.
Various enrichment activities are offered to meet diverse needs.
Creativity is encouraged and imaginations soar.
Teachers supervise and help with daily homework.

After our children finish their regular school day, Kaleidoscope's Extended Day provides a continuation of the attention and guidance received in Tower Hill’s classrooms, but in a more home-like setting. Supervised homework time, inside play, outdoor sports and age-appropriate activities give students the chance to unwind, fulfill their responsibilities and give their imaginations a workout too.

3 p.m. – Kaleidoscope teachers meet students.
3:10 p.m. – Students enjoy a healthy snack.
3:15 p.m. – Children participate in sports, games, arts and crafts, enrichment activities and free play.
3:45 p.m. – Students in grades 1-4 begin their daily homework, supervised by a teacher.
4:45 p.m. – A variety of planned creative activities, special projects and outdoor sports and games round out the day.
5:30 p.m. – Kaleidoscope closes for the day.

After our older children finish their regular school day, Kaleidoscope's Extended Day provides a continuation of the attention and guidance received in Tower Hill’s classrooms. Students in grades 5 and 6 have a chance to unwind with outside recess before beginning supervised homework.

Kaleidoscope for Middle School is available until 5:30 p.m. for seventh and eighth graders who are not picked up directly after sports practices.

3:15 p.m. – Students in grades 5 and 6 are met by a Kaleidoscope teacher and given a snack.
3:20 p.m. – Indoor/outdoor play
3:45 p.m. – Students begin homework.
5:30 p.m. – Kaleidoscope closes for the day.
