New Boys' Tennis Coach Announced

Jared Klose, a USPTA-certified tennis instructor with extensive professional and high school coaching experience, has been named Tower Hill’s new head boys’ tennis coach. Klose served as an assistant boys’ tennis coach the past two seasons at Mount Pleasant High School, where he is also a social studies teacher. Previously he was the head tennis coach at Brandywine High School and A.I. du Pont High School. He also coaches at Greenville Country Club and runs a summer tennis program at The Independence School.

Klose holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and worked in the communications industry before earning an M.A. in secondary teaching from Wilmington University in 2015 and an M.A. in economics and entrepreneurship for educators from the University of Delaware in 2019.

Klose has been an active member of Delaware’s tennis community for many years. He has been a senior instructor for MyServe and a Competitive Training Center Director and coach at the Brandywine Racquet Club since 2007. He replaces Deanna Nagy, who announced her retirement last fall after 23 years of coaching including over 290 wins and two state championships.

“Jared will bring a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to our boys’ tennis program,” Athletic Director Seth Kushkin said. “We have had remarkable success within our tennis program over the years, and I know how excited Jared is to step in and lead this program into the upcoming spring season. Every player in this program from middle school through high school will benefit from the leadership and competitive drive that Jared will bring to the court each day.”
